This platform emerged from a collaboration between the Goethe-Institut Rio de Janeiro and the Cultural Cooperation and Action Service of the Consulate General of France in Rio de Janeiro.
We offer an overview of funding available in France and Germany for artists and others
professionals from South and North America. Our intention is to contribute to the democratization and
decentralization of information about existing opportunities, facilitating access to them.
What we do not contemplate in apoio.art, with exceptions, are: 1) Programs, festivals, awards (etc.)
that they call themselves, without an open notice for candidacies; 2) Public notices for residents and
organizations based in European countries; 3) Incentives already rooted in Brazil and disclosed in
other channels (see the Links page).
We emphasize that we do not propose to provide advice or monitor the applications. It is a unique and experimental project that tries to track a large volume of activities from different
local, regional or national entities – from the smallest associations of groups of artists and activists to the largest development programs: whether from private entities such as foundations or also companies, or from public entities. We hope that apoio.art will thus exemplify the breadth and diversification of international trade, and will encourage even more cultural cooperation.
We strongly recommend that you consult the search tools on this page Links. For each professional category, there are admirable platforms that collect a huge volume of ads, contacts and resources. Our own sample is much more limited. We will continue to build this page to make it an additional facilitator of your own search.
