class=\"description\"><p>Chemnitz invites you to the open call for content proposals from the KOSMOS Festival 2026 program. On August 29, 2026, the city center of Chemnitz will once again be a space for exchange, ideas and encounters. At the KOSMOS Festival, streets, squares and urban spaces will be transformed into stages for debates, sporting events, art, experiences and new perspectives. Initiatives, associations, organizations, engaged individuals and companies are invited to submit their ideas for the KOSMOS Festival 2026 and then put them into practice on August 29th. Formats in the areas of society, art, sport and business that bring people together, inspire reflection or open up new perspectives are sought. This year, the event area extends between Hartmannplatz, Schmidtbankpassage and Bierbr\u00fccke, including An der Markthalle and Fabrikstra\u00dfe. Both public and urban spaces will be part of the festival \u2013 streets, squares, courtyards, shops or empty spaces used temporarily. There are no limits to your creativity \u2013 maybe you're planning a reading in an unusual location, a sports record attempt, a debate to express your opinion, a workshop, an experiment, or a workshop about the future for children? It doesn't matter if your idea is big or small: whether it brings people together, opens up new perspectives, or invites people to participate, the organization wants to get to know you. The KOSMOS Festival is organized by different curatorial teams. These teams are dedicated to the thematic areas: society, art, sport, economy and music. The curatorial teams review the entries, evaluate them based on the project guidelines, their expertise, and the resources available to the festival, and then reach out to the selected participants to develop together. The 2026 edition invites artists to present projects that address the theme of the Night as a central ecological issue. The proposal is to encourage creations that defend the night as a common good, an ecological challenge for the preservation of living beings, a refuge, a right to rest and opacity, promoting a new artistic narrative committed to the ecological transition. Ongoing projects or new projects are accepted. Of all the applications received, 10 projects are nominated for a jury of experts. Selection criteria: artistic value, relevance to the challenges; originality, pedagogical dimension, social and participatory approach, eco-conception, among others. Every year, it offers young filmmakers from all over the world a platform to present their short films and exchange ideas about filmmaking. Every November, Munich becomes the center of attention for emerging international cinema \u2014 a place for dynamic exchange, networking and debate. The fiction short films, documentaries and animated films screened in the international competition compete for valuable prizes, awarded by an independent jury of the festival. An extensive parallel program with panels and masterclasses complements the film program. These can be video installations or kinetic installations, as well as multidisciplinary animation works that include, for example, AR, VR, video projection mapping, mixed media, interactive art, immersive art, and more. The registration period runs from March 5 to May 5, 2026. This call is open to all persons over 18 years of age. Papers can be submitted both individually and in teams. It is possible to submit multiple projects and artwork. The submitted work of art must have characteristics that make it unsuitable for exhibition in traditional cinema. The organization is looking for non-linear and space-referenced artwork in animation. Works that contain live-action scenes or documentary content will only be considered for selection if they also include a significant portion of animation sequences. These invisible artists, who meet the requirements listed in the conditions of participation, can apply for the artistic award. There are no restrictions for applicants in terms of education level or age, but the individual artistic position mentioned above must be recognizable. The possible areas of this art award are broad: Painting, Graphic arts, Sculpture, Textile art, Goldsmithing, Ceramics, Photography or other artistic directions are welcome. The marehalm Art Prize releases a new theme each year, which must be addressed by the applicants. This theme plays a central role in the jury's evaluation and is an essential criterion for awarding the prize. The theme for 2026 is: Interconnection. Five prizes will be awarded at the Richard Haizmann Museum in Nieb\u00fcll based on the decision of a jury: 1st place, \u20ac4,000 \/ 2nd place, \u20ac3,000 \/ 3rd place, \u20ac2,000 \/ 4th place, \u20ac1,500 \/ 5th place, \u20ac1,000. The jury will choose a selection of his works in Nieb\u00fcll, at the Richard Haizmann Museum, after consultation. On the basis of the artworks submitted, the jury will select the works that will participate in an exhibition in Nieb\u00fcll, at the Richard Haizmann Museum. Based on the works of these candidates, the jury will select the three winners of the art prize. The objective is to develop a choreographic project that questions the relationships with the public in the writing and\/or format of the works. The support consists mainly of the provision of equipped workspaces, which may include technical and logistical support and, as the case may be, financial co-production. During the residency, moments of meeting with the public can be organized, such as presentations of stages of the creation process. The residencies take place at the CCNO studios in Orl\u00e9ans, France, from January to December 2027. The duration can be variable, but there is a preference for two-week residencies. The selection of projects is carried out by an internal committee of the CCNO, which meets twice a year. The committee will take into account the diversity of aesthetics and body techniques, parity and work ethics. The application must be made through an online form available on the CCNO website. Based in Essen\/Germany, in the heart of the Ruhr region, one of Europe's densest and most vibrant scientific landscapes, the faculty provides an excellent academic environment for outstanding international researchers seeking to work on a research project in close collaboration with local UA Ruhr partners. The international Senior Scholarships will be awarded for six months and can start on March 1, 2027 or September 1, 2027. The senior fellowships will be aimed at advanced and well-established researchers who are active members of a foreign university or research institution, who have an exceptional research profile in the social sciences and\/or humanities (proven primarily by a significant track record of outstanding publications), have completed their PhD at least six years prior to their application,  and who seek to initiate or intensify research collaboration with a fellow UA Ruhr researcher. As the Senior Fellowship Programme is based on the principle of collaboration, applicants must identify a compatible AU Ruhr partner before applying. Eligible participants include architects, interior designers, graphic designers, engineers, expert planners, design agencies and studios, construction and real estate companies, as well as manufacturers of materials, building technology, hardware, plumbing and bathroom products, etc. from all over the world, as long as they are listed in one of the categories of the ICONIC AWARDS 2026: Innovative Architecture. Submitted projects will be evaluated by an international jury of experts. The presentation ceremony of the winners will be held on October 6, 2026 at BMW Welt in Munich. Each residency lasts approximately 2 1\/2 months, followed by a public restitution (exhibition) of about 1 month. The program takes place between September 2026 and August 2027, in Lyon, France, at the Chalet du Parc space. The works and research must be connected with the themes specific to the Chalet du Parc and\/or its programming and must arouse emotion, reflection and a desire to act. The contest selects films for different age groups, from 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 years old. What kind of film? Films that excite the organization and its children's audience, that is, films that show that they are intelligent, curious, sensitive, smart, political, silly and funny people like any human being. Films and stories that promote empathy and self-confidence, that address serious topics in a lighthearted and lively way, that offer examples to follow. Films that make you laugh and feel without being vulgar. Quiet films, crazy films, with animals as protagonists, films about the environment, documentaries, comedies, not at all common, films from all over the world. Display format: DCP, 35mm, Quicktime 1080p. English or German subtitles for films in other languages.
